This blog gathers information from researchers and professionals linked to the Franco-Brazilian Network of Tourism, Heritage and Public Policies (Rede TP3). This network is the result of the workshop "Tourism, Nature and Culture - Interdisciplinary Dialogues and Public Policies", promoted on May 30 and June 1, 2016, by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro through the Governance, Biodiversity, Protected Areas and Social Inclusion and the Laboratory of Technology and Social Development, by the Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University and by the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation. 46 researchers from four countries and 26 different academic institutions, Brazilian public agencies and third sector organizations participated in its creation act.

  The second conference was held in Paris in October 2018 and will be followed by a second international conference in Belém from 06 to 09 November 2019, connecting the networks of the two countries and strengthening the Brazilian network in a common thematic approach: Tourism, Patrimony and Public Policy, which is the inspiration for this network.

  In Brazil, the main institutions that make up the core of the TP3 Network are UFRJ - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, USP - University of São Paulo, UNICAMP - University of Campinas, UFPA - Federal University of Pará and UFRRJ - Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro.

  In France, the institutions involved are linked to the AsTRES Network, a network of universities and higher education institutions, specializing in tourism research and education (http://association-astres.fr/fr/).

The network proposal was conceived considering the complexity and timeliness of the proposed debate, so that it is possible to reflect on the conceptual issues involved in planning and to interpret the challenges addressed to the integration of public policies of tourism, heritage and tourism at the global, national level . Based on this background, the blog is to main purpose of discuss and interpret public policies in its articulation with heritage, understood in a broad sense and encompassing tangible (architectural, historical, natural, etc.) and intangible heritage in its context current relationship with tourism, at the national and international levels.

  As specific objectives of the blog, it seeks to contribute to promote and strengthen a qualified and interdisciplinary approach in research, planning and training in tourism, in reading heritage, in articulation with public policies and, also, to collaborate in the construction of bridges between academic research and the extension and, between academia and public management and society as a whole, based on the principles and commitments associated with sustainability in tourism.

  The potential target audience involves researchers and tourism professionals and related subjects that develop research and / or projects in the theme of Tourism, Heritage and Public Policies with interest in elaborating joint proposals for research and actions arising from it, and networking among groups of research and universities associated with the TP3 Networks (Brazil) and ASTRES (France), in addition to others that may have actions of partnership with this approach.

  As benefits to the undergraduate and graduate students and researchers involved in the network, this is an unparalleled opportunity for the sharing of theoretical reflections as well as debates on research methodology in the local / national / global relationship.

In the same way, the network materializes as a privileged locus for the debate and meeting for the construction of research networks, both locally, nationally and internationally and also as an opportunity for collective mobilization for the construction of projects of national and in different fields.
